Service terms
Last updated 2026-10-24. These are the general terms of the main site. Each service lists its own availability, limits and terms, and those apply to that service.
The catalogue
The home page describes the services that are available. It is information, not an offer that binds ModLab to provide anything to anyone. Services can change, pause or close, and each one states what it supports.
Custom development
An enquiry is a request for us to assess a problem. Sending one does not create a contract, and we may decline a request for any reason, for example if it is not practical or not something we can take on. If we do work together, scope, price and delivery are agreed in writing before work starts.
Optional contributions
Contributions are optional. They help cover hosting and maintenance. You never need to contribute to use a service, and a contribution does not buy a feature, priority or support unless a service says so. Where a service accepts contributions, that service lists its own availability and terms.
Contributions to ModLab are made through Buy Me a Coffee, an independent platform that uses Stripe to process payments. The payment page belongs to them: their terms and privacy policy apply to the payment, and ModLab never sees or stores your card details. A contribution is a voluntary gift of support, so it does not create a right to a service, a feature or a reply. Questions about a payment can also be sent to us by email.
Third-party software
Third-party software belongs to its respective creators. ModLab is an independent project and is not affiliated with those creators unless a service says so. You are responsible for having the right to use and change the software you work with, and for following its licence. Keep a backup of anything you change.
No warranty
The services are provided as they are, within the limits each service states. To the extent the law allows, ModLab is not liable for loss caused by using them. Nothing here limits rights you have by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last change.
